The problem
When goods go missing or arrive damaged, the warehouse, the driver and the receiving store each point at the other, and someone spends hours searching CCTV for one shipment.
- Claim disputes: liability between warehouse staff, 3PL drivers and receiving stores is hard to settle without a clear visual record.
- Slow investigations: supervisors review hours of CCTV to find one shipment.
- No check at the scan: nothing visual confirms the document at the moment it is scanned.
How Countersign works.
Countersign is Vinotica’s visual audit for loading docks. It puts the delivery document on the video, so every load has a record you can find. It works with i-lux® cameras and with other CCTV brands, subject to a technical check.

Scan
The operator scans the DO, PO or SKU barcode before loading starts.

Overlay
The number appears on the live CCTV video of the dock.

Record
Loading or unloading is recorded; damaged items are held up to the camera.

Close
A “DONE” scan closes the clip and indexes it under that DO.
Two ways to run it
- Standalone: barcode scanners connect directly to the recorder; each scan creates a timestamped bookmark under its DO number.
- Connected to your WMS or SAP: each scanned DO is checked against your system through an API or webhook.

Compatible recorders
Countersign records on a 4-channel recorder at the dock. We supply one of two options, matched to your cameras and site.

- Hybrid XVR (i-lux): 4 channels for analog HD and IP cameras (up to 6 IP channels in IP mode), POS/text overlay with search, recording up to 5MP, and 1 or 2 hard-drive bays (up to 16 TB per drive).
- 4-channel NVR: for all-IP docks: 4 built-in PoE ports for the cameras, recording up to 12MP, 4 hard-drive bays, and ONVIF/RTSP support for IP cameras from other brands. Text overlay support is confirmed per project.
- Cameras: outdoor IP bullet cameras at each dock.
- Your existing cameras: cameras from other brands that are already installed can be used where they are compatible; we check this during the survey.
Delivery: four phases.
From survey to handover.
Example: a 4-bay project is planned in about four weeks. [CEK-CS9]
- Survey & design: camera angles, cabling routes and the architecture.
- Installation: cabling, cameras, scanners and a compatible XVR/NVR recorder.
- Configuration: overlay, scanners and, if chosen, the WMS connection.
- Testing & handover: user acceptance test (UAT), operator training and handover.
Privacy: at the dock.
